Goodreads Monday

Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme hosted here. to participate, choose a random book from your TBR and show it off! Don’t forget to link back here and feel free to link up in the comments so that others can see what you picked!

Hey guys! I hope you all had an amazing weekend! I checked my instagram out for the first time in over a month – so I am hoping that my reading mojo is finally on the way back in XD. I am about 70% of the way through Blood and Sand by C. V. Wyk and I am really enjoying it so far.

Anyway, this weeks pick for me is a continuation of a series that I am loving so far! I am currently about half way through book three, but I know I am going to want to continue this series once I am finished!

Iron Gold by Pierce Brown

Published: January 16th 2018 by Del Rey Books

They call him father, liberator, warlord, Reaper. But he feels a boy as he falls toward the pale blue planet, his armor red, his army vast, his heart heavy. It is the tenth year of war and the thirty-second of his life.

A decade ago, Darrow was the hero of the revolution he believed would break the chains of the Society. But the Rising has shattered everything: Instead of peace and freedom, it has brought endless war. Now he must risk everything he has fought for on one last desperate mission. Darrow still believes he can save everyone, but can he save himself?

And throughout the worlds, other destinies entwine with Darrow’s to change his fate forever:

A young Red girl flees tragedy in her refugee camp and achieves for herself a new life she could never have imagined.

An ex-soldier broken by grief is forced to steal the most valuable thing in the galaxy—or pay with his life.

And Lysander au Lune, the heir in exile to the sovereign, wanders the stars with his mentor, Cassius, haunted by the loss of the world that Darrow transformed, and dreaming of what will rise from its ashes.

Red Rising was the story of the end of one universe, and Iron Goldis the story of the creation of a new one. Witness the beginning of a stunning new saga of tragedy and triumph from masterly New York Times bestselling author Pierce Brown.

That’s a shame! It does take a little bit to get into, but once you’ve gotten to a certain point, it just hooks you in! So I would definitely recommend sticking with them 🙂 happy reading

This is a brilliant pick for your Goodreads Monday Lauren, and I really hope you’re able to get around to Iron Gold as soon as possible. 😀 I will say the fact that you will be able to jump right into it after finishing Morning Star is a good thing, because while I can’t say Morning Star ends on an unbearable cliffhanger (not like Golden Son did) it will still be great to not have to wait for the next book in the series that’s for sure! 😀
Great post, and happy reading. 🙂 ❤
