Hey guys! I am back with another Goodreads Monday for you guys and this weeks book is a sequel to a duology! I absolutely loved the first book and I actually have the second book on my shelf and it is my next read after I finish my current read! I have heard a lot of amazing things and I can’t wait to check out myself…
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
Published: September 27th 2016 by Orion Children’s Books
Kaz Brekker and his crew have just pulled off a heist so daring even they didn’t think they’d survive. But instead of divvying up a fat reward, they’re right back to fighting for their lives. Double-crossed and left crippled by the kidnapping of a valuable team member, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city’s dark and twisting streets―a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of magic in the Grisha world.
As mentioned, I absolutely LOVED Six of Crows and I am really looking forward to the conclusion of this!! Have you guys read it? Did you enjoy it?
Yes! I am so glad to see Crooked Kingdom as your pick for this week Lauren. I almost feel like I’m more excited for you to read it than you are! 🙂
Honestly I can’t wait for your review, I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on your blog waiting for you to post it. I really do hope you love it, even more than Six of Crows actually! 😀
Well, I just finished King’s Cage, so I’m going to be starting it either tonight or tomorrow 😀 I’m definitely looking forward to it 🙂
Ohh, what did you think of King’s Cage by the way? It’s on my to-read list but I’m waiting for more reviews before deciding whether to pick it up myself (I wasn’t a fan of the first two)
And I’d say tonight, the sooner the better in my opinion! 😀
I really enjoyed it and I would recommend it, but I did enjoy the first two as well so… 🙂
I’ll still give it a go either way, but it’s not at the top of my to-read list or anything so who knows when I’ll get around to it.
I hope you enjoy it when you do 🙂
I hope the second book is a good read! I haven’t started these, but I see so many mixed reviews of Crooked Kingdom that I am nervous. I guess I will just have to form my own opinion 😉 Happy reading!
Well, I started last night, so I am not all that far into it, but I have heard some good things, so I’m looking forward to reading more 😀
