Goodreads Monday

Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme hosted here. To participate, choose a random book from your TBR and show it off! Don’t forget to link back here and link me up so I can see your picks too!

Hey guys! Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years! I’m sorry I haven’t posted properly in a while, but it has been really busy along with the fact that we are all ill! I also just found out that Sunday was my Blogaversary … Apparently I have been blogging for three years now!! Where has the time gone?? Anyway, this weeks pick for me is a book (and now film) that I have heard so much about and I am really looking forward to both reading it and watching it!

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

Published: January 13th 2015 by Riverhead Books

EVERY DAY THE SAME
Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

UNTIL TODAY
And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel goes to the police. But is she really as unreliable as they say? Soon she is deeply entangled not only in the investigation but in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good?

It does have some mixed reviews, but I am really looking forward to forming my own opinions! Have you read the book or watched the film? Did you enjoy it?

What books are on your TBR’s?

I haven’t read it but my friend has read the translated version of it. She said it’s okay. I hope you’ll enjoy reading it!

I’ve heard so much about this book from pretty much everyone, and everyone who’s read it has recommended it to me as well but it’s not the kind of book I’d normally pick up so I guess I’m still a little on the fence about it.
Still I hope you enjoy it Lauren! 😀
