Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the Broke and Bookish

Hey guys! It is time for another TTT. This weeks prompt is top ten books on my fall (Autumn) TBR list. I literally have so many books lying around that I have bought, but have never actually gotten around to reading, it’s crazy! All you need is my kindle! Anyway, without further ado, and in no particular order:

10. clockwork-angel Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare – I actually have all three books in this series, but I still need to read them! I have never read a Clare book – can you believe it!!

9. shadow and bone Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo – Again, I own all three books in this series, and I have heard amazing things!

8. ice like fire Ice Like Fire by Sara Raasch  – I read and loved the fist book within this series and bought the second straight afterward…I still haven’t read it yet!! I want to read it soon, especially with the release of the final instalment!

7. rebel of the sands Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton – I have had this book on my kindle since forever!! I have heard some amazing things, so I am definitely looking forward to it!

6. court of fives Court of Fives by Kate Elliott – Seriously, yet another series I really need to catch up on!

5. the girl with all the gifts The Girl with All the Gifts by M. R. Carey – I ordered this from amazon a while back in paperback format and it has been sat on my shelf ever since! I’ve seen some great reviews and it is also a film!! Clearly I need to read this book!

4. Empire of Storms Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas – I have had a really hard time getting my hands on this book!! I pre ordered, got screwed over by amazon – who told me they couldn’t ship it until november december time…. so I cancelled, couldn’t find it in ANY bookstore ANYWHERE – checked back onto amazon to see if they changed their shipping times – apparently it is going to be here tomorrow! I hope they don’t mess me around again! Anyway, clearly this book is on my fall TBR because, hello? Maas!

3. the lie tree The Lie Tree by Frances Hardinge – This book has been sat on my shelf for MONTHS now! Seriously need to knock this one off of my TBR!

2. Waters wrath Water’s Wrath by Elise Kova – I have read and loved the first three books in the Air Awakens series! I have the last two waiting for me on my kindle, but book three broke me so bad, that I needed time to repair myself before throwing myself back into this world!! I think I’m ready now!

1. three dark crowns Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake – My copy of this book is planned to be here on Thursday! I have been waiting what feels like forever for this book! Literally so excited to read this one!!

Thats it for me! These are the books I am hoping to knock off of my TBR this fall!! Have you read any of them yet?

What books are you guys hoping to read this Autumn? Feel free to leave links and comments and I will check them all out!

I’ve been wanting to read THE GIRL WITH ALL THE GIFTS for more than a year now and now that I’ve found out about the upcoming movie it’s really high on my to-read list at the moment.

I definitely want to read it before the movie comes out and I hope that the book can live up to all the praise!

Ah so many good books on your TBR!
Definitely recommend Clockwork Angel! It’s my favorite series by Cassandra Clare. And I equally loved the Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo and of course Empire of Storms!
I also really want to start the Air Awakens series soon.

These are some amazing books, great picks for this week Lauren! Shadow and Bone and Empire of Storms are two favourites of mine so I really hope you enjoy them. And like you I have all of Cassandra Clare’s books on my to-read list and on my bookshelves just waiting for me to get around to them, including The Infernal Devices trilogy.
I really hope you enjoy all these books, and I’ll definitely be looking forwards to seeing your reviews for them all as well! 😀

Yeah, they’re the books that I have and I have been told that it doesn’t really matter sooo… I will also be buying the TMI at some point, but I want to buy the book box because I love the spines!

      • Beth (Reading Every Night) says:

I can’t say myself because I haven’t read them but I wouldn’t have thought it would matter what order you read them in, given that most of the characters are different in the two series.
I have those spines (the ones where you can see the characters standing in front of the bridge right?) definitely worth the money! 😀

      • lry93 says:

Well, Ines the sequel to the other and there are so many different opinions out there about how you should read them and what order it’s crazy!! Yep, they’re the ones! They’re so pretty

      • Beth (Reading Every Night) says:

I guess as long as you can understand the story, and you read the trilogies in the right order, you should be fine!
Definitely gorgeous, and they will look amazing on your bookshelves as well because they do on mine! 😀

    • lry93 says:

I literally started it last night, because I finished another book and thought ‘why not?’ I’m only a couple of pages in, so no real opinions as of yet! 🙂

  4. Maggie says:

Great list! Practically everything you listed is on my TBR! I’m reading The Girl with All the Gifts now and I adore it so far! It’s creepy and enthralling! I loved Clockwork Angel and hope you do too! Happy reading and happy Tuesday! 😀

I started it last night 🙂 I’m only a couple of pages in, so I can’t create an opinion yet! Apparently, according to Amazon, my copy will be here tomorrow!! 🙂 im so excited!

  5. Kate @ Fictional Thoughts says:

How mean of Amazon to hold your copy of Empire of Storms ransom! (I’m assuming they just wanted to keep all the SJM to themselves or something). Hope you enjoy it when you get a copy. I thought it was great – one of my favourites from the series so far. Brings everything together and had made me all the more anxious for the last book in the series.

I got my copy of EoS today, so I will be starting that as soon as I finish my current read!! 🙂 I also cannot wait to read Rebel of the Sands! I have heard some great things! 🙂

  6. Jamie Wu says:

I’ve only read one Cassandra Clare book (City of Bones) and I’ve heard that Infernal Devices is the better series. I have the first book, but haven’t got to it yet. Hopefully soon 🙂 I need to get the Grisha Trilogy! Just recently realized that Six of Crows is set in the same world. I’m planning to finally get to Air Awakens this Fall. Fingers crossed.
For all that trouble with Empire of Storms, I hope you’ll enjoy it a ton times ten!

    • lry93 says:

I haven’t read any yet!! I’m hoping I get to the infernal devices soon!! I really should read the Grisha trilogy – I’ve had it on my kindle for ages!! I didn’t know that sic of crows was set in the same world though! I was debating whether to order it from Amazon or not! Now I definitely need to read it! I hope you like the AA series!! I’ve read the first three and I loved them!! I really need to get to the fourth! I hope so! I think I will be miffed if after all that trouble, I decide I don’t like it! 😂😂

      • Jamie Wu says:

I only realized it recently! I was like, I’m totally going to read Six of Crows this Fall. And then I thought about how they’re from the same author and decided to look it up. I’ve heard that they’re not that related so it’s save to read Six of Crows first. I really I’ll enjoy AA!

      • lry93 says:

I still think I would rather read Grisha first if they are set in the same world … 🙂 I hope so too! I can’t wait for you to read them!
