Hey guys! It is time for another TTT. This weeks topic is top ten favourite books in X genre. I’ve decided to go fantasy, because that is what I read the most of! Without further ado and in no particular order:
10. 
Vault of Dreams by Luke Taylor. This book was lyrical in a way that I don’t think I will ever find again! I absolutely loved it!
9. 
Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. Ok, I’m cheating a little bit and I am using the whole series for this! I absolutely adore this series and I cannot wait for tomorrow because my pre ordered copy of EoS is coming… a week late -.-
8. 
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. This is turning into a Maas fest… No, whilst I liked the first in this series, I LOVED this one! I need the third book like… now!
7. 
A Bond of Venom and Magic by Karen Tomlinson. This book releases next month (Oct 14th), but I received an ARC of this and it is my favourite read of this year! Heck, it’s up there with Maas as my favourite Fantasy of all time!! I need the next book… but the author is evil and isn’t releasing it till next year!! Plus, this cover is gorgeous! I want a poster for my wall!
6. 
Emerge: The Awakening by Melissa A. Craven. I definitely think this book is underrated! The next book in this series is releasing at the end of this year and it cannot come soon enough!! Talk about needing a book!
5. 
Air Awakens by Elise Kova. I have read the first three in this series and I am hooked! I am hoping to be able to read the fourth soon… the ending of the third book broke me inside, which is probably why I waited so long! I don’t think my heart can take much more!
4. 
The Black Mage: First Year by Rachel E. Carter. ummm… I think anyone who has read this will know it is epic! This is not your normal wishy washy magic – this is serious business!!
3. 
Spelled by Betsy Schow. This book had me in stitches! I couldn’t breathe I was laughing so hard!! The author is releasing what looks like the second book in this series early next year, so I am preparing my lungs and my diaphragm for this!
2. 
Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch. I loved this book. It has me hooked from the get go! I have the second book in this series, which I am definitely looking forward to picking up! Even if I hate the rest of this series, I will always love this book!
1. 
Defy by Sara B. Larson. Whoever hasn’t read this series clearly lives under a rock! A very large one at that! This is one of my all time faves and I love the colour schemes on the covers!

So I decided to do favourites that weren’t fantasy because all I read is fantasy but I’ve really been enjoying reading the fantasy top tens as its given me a better perspective of what everyone else likes to read.
I really enjoyed the different books and series you’ve included that I have now added to my ever growing fantasy TBR

Fantasy is my #1 favourite genre too!! *hi fives* And I LOVED Snow Like Ashes so so much (although I wasn’t as enamoured with the sequel sadly, although I’ve heard the finale is amazing so that’s A RELIEF. 😉 Plus I really want to read Spelled someday!!

LOVE ACOMAF!!! Like… omg! and My copy of EoS is arriving tomorrow and I have literally just finished Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi, so it was great timing!

I absolutely loved it and the writing style! I thought the ending was a little to abrupt for my liking, but all in all I really enjoyed it! 🙂

I love Fantasy as well, but this week I tried to switch it up a bit with some MG realistic fiction (hence only 6 picks). I really enjoyed Snow Like Ashes and Throne of Glass. My TTT link

I used to read a lot of fantasy when I was younger, but I haven’t really kept up to date with more recent authors and titles. Your list has really got me wanting to dive back into fantasy again!!

Not heard of Vault of Dreams before, but it’s definitely going on the wishlist!
These are some great picks for this week Lauren! I’m a massive fantasy fan as well and a few books you’ve picked I haven’t heard of so I’ll be adding them to my to-read list. I do really really love the Throne of Glass series and the ACOTAR books as well (like you I much prefer the ACOTAR series over the Throne of Glass books) I hope you enjoy Empire of Storms, the wait will definitely be worth it! 😀
Also I have Snow Like Ashes on my to-read list for this month. I read it a while back and given the third book is coming out soon I need to read the second and re-read the first before! 😀

I saw on Instagram you saying you’d been screwed by Amazon so I’m guessing it didn’t arrive today (or it did and I’m confusing your post with someone else’s, so many people have posted about EoS!)

It was supposed to come today, but it didn’t and then they posted that it was going to get to me between the 3rd November and 23rd December – which is ludicrous for a book that I preordered!! So I cancelled the order and I’m just going to go to the bookstore at the weekend
Jesus Christ that’s terrible, also what in god’s name happened that it would take up until November/December to actually arrive with you! I would seriously consider complaining because like you said for a pre-order that’s just not right!

Air Awakens!! ACOMAF!! I love both so much, sosososo much. I’m so sad that the Air Awakens series is over already. I am so not ready for it to be over. And I can’t wait for more ACOMAF! Though I feel like it’s going to be my favourite book of the series.

Oh boy, the last two were brutal, especially the last one. I think I barely survived reading it. I definitely think it’s going to be one of those series that I go back and read more than once.

I’ve been seeing that she’s doing audio books for Air Awakens right now and I’m really excited!
She is!! I don’t listen to audiobooks really, but I would be willing to give that one a try
I don’t listen to them very often but I’ve listened to a few before that I’ve enjoyed. So I’ve got my fingers crossed for these!
I tend to struggle with audiobooks, especially if I want to read the books at some point afterward!! All I hear is the voice from the audio and it bugs me
I usually only listen to audio books of books I’ve already read. I find it much easier to concentrate on the audio then.

I know a few people who are, so it’s all good!! I actually just had beef with Amazon about my EoS order -.- I pre ordered it, I was supposed to get t today, but then they told me that I am going to get it between 3 November and 23 December … it was a pre order!! Months waiting time is crazy!!
