Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine
Hey guys! It is time for another WOW! I am definitely really excited for this one because I love books like these! The mystery and suspense!
Expected publication: September 6th by Sourcebooks Fire
There may only be one killer, but no one is innocent in this new thriller from Natasha Preston, author of The Cellar and Awake.
When Mackenzie treks to a secluded cabin in the woods with six friends, she expects a fun weekend of partying, drinking, and hookups. But when they wake to find two of their own dead and covered in blood, it’s clear there’s a killer among them.
As the police try to unravel the case, Mackenzie launches her own investigation. Before long secrets start to emerge, revealing a sinister web of sins among the original seven friends. The killer is still free. Every one of them is a suspect. And Mackenzie starts to realize that no one is innocentβ¦
If this book is well written, it is going to be one hell of a ride and I am so excited!! I want to know all their secrets!
What books are you guys waiting on? Feel free to leave links and comments and I will check them all out!

Well it definitely looks very interesting and the summary sounds very promising. Hope you enjoy.
Here is my WoW
Thanks!!
I hadn’t heard of this one, but I do enjoy a good thriller. Thanks for putting The Cabin on my radar π
It does sound pretty interesting!! Anytime π
Ooh, this does sound equal parts intriguing and terrifying! π I have a bit of a hard time with thrillers being too predictable, but this one sounds amazing so maybe I’ll have to look it up too. π
Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!
That is always the issue with these kinds of books!!
Ahhh, how beautiful is that cover? I like that everyone is under suspicion and they all have their secrets — sounds like a HELL of a ride! Here’s mine: http://editingeverything.com/blog/2016/08/24/waiting-on-wednesday-city-of-strangers/
Right! Definitely looking forward to it π
This one is on my radar, too!
Great! π
I absolutely LOVE that cover. It says so much… Spooky!
Me too!!
This one looks good, I need a thriller! Definitely adding to my TBR. My WoW this week is A Torch Against the Night: https://thebooksocietea.wordpress.com/2016/08/24/waiting-on-wednesday-a-torch-against-the-night-by-sabaa-tahir/
It does!! Glad I could add to your TBR! I hope you enjoy it π
I just added this one to my wishlist and am glad you pointed it out. I like the cover and I love reading mysteries and darker books, especially in the fall. And on the plus, we don’t have that long of a wait.. Nice choice!
I do absolutely love the cover and I cannot wait to get into the minds of all these characters and what they have done!! And you’re right! Not long left! Thanks for stopping by!!
It sounds good but I think it would keep me awake at night if I read it, haha. Great pick!
My WOW: http://tsundokubooks.blogspot.com/2016/08/waiting-on-wednesday-spindle-fire.html
I think it would keep me awake at night because I need to know what happens!!
This does sound good. I like that they’re not necessarily trapped out in the wilderness, the police are involved but they still are suspects and it could be any of them? sounds fun!
It does sound a bit more unique from other stories out there! Definitely excited for it!
I do love the sound of this one and hadn’t heard of it so will keep it on my radar.
Thanks
Lynn π
Great!! π
This sounds awesome!! Added to my list!
Good to know I could add to the TBR!! π
This sounds like a great book (although for some reason ever since I saw the title I’ve been unable to get the film The Cabin in the Woods out of my head.)
I do need to read more books like this, mystery thrillers with a dark side, and The Cabin seems like one that is perfect for my (still ever growing) TBR list.
Great pick for this week Lauren! π
Now that you’ve mentioned it, now I have that film in my head. That film was pretty awful -.- well, I hope it doesn’t let you down then!! π
Oops sorry! I haven’t seen the film myself but given how much I hate anything in the horror genre I’m not likely to watch it anytime soon!
Hopefully this book will be much better! π
It’s actually really bad!! I think you’d probably be laughing at the stupidness rather than hiding behind the sofa
I may have to laugh at the stupidness from behind the sofa, that’s a safe bet for me! π
True!!
I’m not too familiar with this book! Gosh I love the cover so much though. π I hope you enjoy this book when you get a chance to read it!
Have a fabulous week. π
Check out my WoW post!
Thanks! I do really like the cover π
Oh, I LOVE that cover! The story sounds very compelling, too. Not my usual type of read, but I might very well give this one a try. Thanks for featuring it!!
Thanks as well for commenting on my own WOW!! π
You definitely should!! I can’t wait for it myself!! π
I hadn’t heard of this one, but it sounds pretty good! I don’t read a lot of mysteries, but this sounds like a nice start π
Definitely check it out π
Ohh great pick! This is the first time I heard about this book and it looks really amazing plus I never read a book by this author before. Now I really want too check out her other books and see if I like them or not. Thank you for stopping by my WOW pick.
I have never read a book by this author either, but I am definitely looking forward to this one!! π
This sounds great! I really love thrillers when they’re done right so if this one is it’ll be amazing I’m sure! I’m definitely going to keep an eye out for it! Great pick!
It has actually been released π I still need to grab a copy, though!! I hope you enjoy it π
