Waiting on Wednesday

WoW

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted at Breaking the Spine

Hey guys! It is time for another WoW! This weeks pick for me is an author who absolutely adore. I am half way through her Air Awakens series and I am sat patiently twiddling my thumbs for this book!!

the alchemists of loom

The Alchemists of Loom by Elise Kova

Expected Publication: January 10th 2017

Her vengeance. His vision.

Ari lost everything she once loved when the Five Guilds’ resistance fell to the Dragon King. Now, she uses her unparalleled gift for clockwork machinery in tandem with notoriously unscrupulous morals to contribute to a thriving underground organ market. There isn’t a place on Loom that is secure from the engineer turned thief, and her magical talents are sold to the highest bidder as long as the job defies their Dragon oppressors.

Cvareh would do anything to see his sister usurp the Dragon King and sit on the throne. His family’s house has endured the shame of being the lowest rung in the Dragons’ society for far too long. The Alchemist Guild, down on Loom, may just hold the key to putting his kin in power, if Cvareh can get to them before the Dragon King’s assassins.

When Ari stumbles upon a wounded Cvareh, she sees an opportunity to slaughter an enemy and make a profit off his corpse. But the Dragon sees an opportunity to navigate Loom with the best person to get him where he wants to go.

He offers her the one thing Ari can’t refuse: A wish of her greatest desire, if she brings him to the Alchemists of Loom.

Doesn’t that sound AMAZING?!? Like, seriously! I am so ready for this book it is unreal!

Elise is also hosting the Guild Games to celebrate both this book and her one year anniversary of writing! It is a fun and great way to meet new people! if you would like to join, then here is the link (please do join!!),

I haven’t started her other series, even though I have the first 2 books. I’ve read that the series gets weaker as the books go on, but I may have to take a chance and read them since I spent money. I recently saw this one and the cover really grabbed me. Nice pick!
    My WoW

So is this book part of the Air Awakens series then or a different one? Obviously I have the Air Awakens series on my to-read list after reading your amazing reviews for it but if this is a different series I’ll have to add this one to my TBR list as well.
I really love that cover as well, it’s so striking isn’t it?
Great pick for this week! 🙂

I have two books left and I am absolutely loving it! I do love this cover – I just want to stroke it!!

I have no idea but I think this one has been in the works for a while, and she already has a rough version of book two in this series finished as well. She is also planning to do a couple of novellas for the AA series from the Guards POV 🙂
