So that was my month!! I would say I should take a break from buying books… but we all know that won’t happen!
What books did you read/get last month? Feel free to let me know and leave links in the comments below.
Reblogged this on forthenovellovers.
I finally got around t reading Illuminae an it’s so incredible. I keep picking up this savage song but for some reason can’t get past the first chapter.
My July Wrap Up
https://rinereads.wordpress.com/2016/08/01/july-wrap-up/
I have never read Illuminae … It’s not on my TBR either
You should check it out. It’s a really interesting concept with an unique format. I really enjoyed the story and the twist on it. I’m quite a fan of Si-fi and it does sound quite technical but i don’t think that stops it being a good story.
It doesn’t really shout read me …
Wow you got through quite a few books this month! And I’m definitely looking forwards to seeing what you think of Vault of Dreams as well, I’ve heard so much about it through your blog so I really can’t wait for your review!
Also that is an amazing haul. I’ve just finished And I Darken and I really enjoyed it so I hope you do as well, and the same with This Savage Song. V.E. Schwab is one of my all-time favourite authors so I really hope you agree with me on that! 😀
Well, I’m hoping to finish it soon – I have literally just had no time to read and it is bugging me!! I have already read and reviewed both And I Darken and This Savage Song. I really enjoyed And I Darken, it was a bit dry in places but it made up for it in others! I also was a little disappointed with This Savage Song. I thought it was well written, but it missed that spark to push it over the edge
Yeah it always sucks when life gets in the way of blogging and/or reading, but are you enjoying it so far?
And I can see what you mean about And I Darken, I still thought it was a brilliant and really original story though. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy This Savage Song as much, it wasn’t my favourite of V.E. Schwab’s books but honestly I still think she’s an amazing author! 🙂
I finished it yesterday and I loved it! I did enjoy And I Darken and I am looking forward to reading more of Schwab’s books
Ohh yay! I am so excited to see your review then in that case!
Yeah I’m interested to see where the second book in the And I Darken series goes, and I’m always looking forwards to reading more of Schwab’s books! 😀
Well, hopefully it should be up later today 🙂 I’m interested to see where it goes too!! And This Savage Song was my first Schwab book – but hopefully I will get to read more soon
Then I will keep an eye out for it for sure! 🙂
Ohh in that case I would recommend the Shades of Magic series next. It is my all-time favourite series by her and one of my all-time favourite series in general as well! 😀
Well, hopefully I will get a chance to read it soon then!!
That’s so many books. I managed a measly three. Haha. Need to do better this month. Too many books on my TBR to slow down. Hopefully I’ll get to Air Awakens this month 🙂
I never realized that Never Never had multiple parts. Somehow I always thought it was one book. Haha.
It’s in three parts – I absolutely loved the first two and the third was a major disappointment!! You most definitely should!! Air Awakens is so amazing and I am so miffed that I haven’t gotten to waters wrath yet!!
Waters Wrath is the fourth book right? Is the fifth one out yet?
Waters wrath is the fourth and crystal crowned came out at the end of last month – so all five have been released 🙂
That’s great! Good to know that I won’t be left hanging at the end 🙂
Each and every book will leave you hanging for the next one!! Which is why I really need to get to waters wrath!!
Great reading month! I’m super excited to try the Air Awakens series as well, glad you enjoyed it 🙂
It is a great series so far! I hope you love it too!!
