Stacking the Shelves is hosted at Tynga’s Reviews
Hey guys! Clearly this month isn’t being very kind to my purse because I have another two books for you this week! Well, technically, I bought one of them myself. The other was sent to me by an amazing author and I cannot wait to get into it!
Shiny Broken Pieces by Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton.
Published: July 12th 2016 by HarperCollins
So, I actually ordered this last week, but I had to wait for Amazon to get some in stock and it just took forever!!
Vault of Dreams by Luke Taylor
Expected Publication: July 31st 2016 – Self Published
Can you imagine that it takes WEEKS to send a book over from America to Germany. WEEKS! That is how lazy our postal systems are… or customs! Who knows! However, I have the signed ARC now, so my heart can rest at ease! I can’t wait to jump into this story and I just want to thank the author (again) for sending me a copy!! π
So, that’s it for me! I promise I will attempt to withhold buying new books next week because… I think I have enough to be getting on with! What am I saying… Never enough books!
What have you guys added to your shelves this week? Feel free to drop by and leave me your links and I will check them all out!
I really want to read Shiny Little Pieces! I enjoyed the first book. π
So did I! I pretty much bugged my husband all month about it ππ
Vault of Dreams looks so interesting. I hope you enjoy your books!

Thanks
Great post! I have Shiny Broken Pieces on my to-read list so I really hope you love it! Also wow, a signed ARC as well, that’s amazing. Hopefully the time it takes to arrive will fly by! π
The signed ARC has arrived but it took weeks! He sent it off somewhere near the beginning of July … It came the day before yesterday (Friday)
Wow that did take a while! I suppose it had a way to go but even still should it really take that long to get from American to Germany! π
I think it takes a while for the Zollamt (German customs) to clear it
Probably, still seems like they took their time with it though, but at least you have the book now! π
That must be so frustrating to have to wait so long for a book. Do you have a kindle or other e-book device? That way, you can download books, instantly. It’s not as fun as reading a print book, but at least you will not have to wait. I’m sorry about the violence in Munich. I have visited that city, and it was lovely.
I do have a kindle, but I wanted that particular book in physical form. The author sent it to me at the beginning of the month and it arrived on Friday!! I think customs takes a while to clear things. And I don’t actually live anywhere near Munich! The closest I have ever come to Munich is driving through it! So, I wasn’t really affected by what happened over there! I’m just hoping hat it doesn’t happen again.
Nice haul, Lauren! Signed books are the best π
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading!
Thanks!
