On the Fence by Kasie West

On The Fence

She’s a tomboy. He’s the boy next door…

Charlie Reynolds can outrun, outscore, and outwit every boy she knows. But when it comes to being a girl, Charlie doesn’t know the first thing about anything. So when she starts working at a chichi boutique to pay off a speeding ticket, she finds herself in a strange new world. To cope with the stress of her new reality, Charlie takes to spending nights chatting with her neighbor Braden through the fence between their yards. As she grows to depend on their nightly Fence Chats, she realizes she’s got a bigger problem than speeding tickets-she’s falling for Braden. She knows what it means to go for the win, but if spilling her secret means losing him for good, the stakes just got too high.

Fun, original, and endearing, On the Fence is a romantic comedy about finding yourself and finding love where you least expect (Goodreads)

My love for Kasie West is no secret. Read my previous reviews or just take a trip to my Goodreads page and you guys will know just what kind of a fan I am. This book is exactly the reason as to why I love her so much! I felt connected to the characters and totally loved the bond between the characters as well.

Charlie was amazing. I found her so hilarious and I loved the fact that she wasn’t a typical girl. She is sporty, hangs out with guys and would rather act like a tomboy. Of course, I know the feeling. I loved the bond that she had with her brothers and Braden – it is the sort of bond that I have with my brother, so I felt like I could connect completely. She did annoys slightly when she attempted to change herself to please Evan. Like Braden says, never date a guy who wears loafers!!

The brothers and Braden were amazing. There was never a moment where I didn’t completely love them – I loved each and every single character. They are protective of their sister, but tried not to show it, which I think is quite endearing.

It took me quite a while to realize who Skye was! After my slow brain figured it out, I was so happy to see that West incorporated other characters from a different book into this one! I loved the idea.

My love for Kasie West knows no bounds, and I just need more from this author. I gave this book 5/5 stars
